MISSION STATEMENT

The Radson Education Foundation, North America (R.E.F.) is established as a
non-profit organization to identify issues, address problems, formulate and implement strategies for development in Africa and Asia

ARTICLE 1: NAME

The name of the organization shall be Radson Education Foundation in North
America.

ARTICLE 11: PURPOSE

The purpose and exclusive projects promoted by the association are strictly
educational, scientific, religious and charitable activities that will accelerate the advancement and well-being of the peoples and cultures of Africa and Asia through joint
ventures and cooperation of like associations, institutions, government agencies and charitable organizations. Such and all benefits are solely to the benefit of the aforementioned purpose and in no way or form should the property of this organization
be used to the benefit of any officer or member of the association. No person or persons shall have a personal or private interest of this association for propaganda use or other influences other than the exclusive purpose expressed herein.

ARTICLE III: SPECIFIC POWERS

Section 1: Establish Economic Resources

To raise revenues through publications, cultural activities, proposal writing and other appropriate fund-raising strategies.

Section 2: Legal Powers

Use all powers granted by the IRS Code 501 C Section 3 to the association as a
non-profit organization. To enter into contracts and exercise all powers of a non-profit organization for the sole purpose expressed in Article II and granted by the resident state of the R.E.F. President and Executive Director. Radson Education Foundation's Federal ID# is 38/2784669. conducting fund raising with AFRAA

Section 3 - Scholarships and Awards

To grant scholarships and awards, establish projects towards fulfillment of the association's objectives.

Section 4: Funding of Projects

To establish and fund specific projects in fulfillment of the association's objectives.

Section 5: Donors and Supporters

To adhere and comply with certain directions of donors and supporters but in conformity with established objectives of the association.



ARTICLE IV: MEMBERSHIP

The membership of this organization shall be composed of those interested
Africans and Asians and non-Africans who earn a living in North America: The Radson Education Foundation consists of regional chapters from which the R.E.F. constituency is derived, namely, regular, associate and charter members.

Section 1: Aregular Member is a Christian whose career is in academia, business,religious, industry, health, legal, government and other fields. Graduate and post-graduate-students are considered regular members.

Section 2:Associate Members are undergraduate African Adventists and any
interested Africans and non-Africans who earn a living in North America. They may vote but will not hold office when there are regular members willing to serve in those offices.

Section 3 Charter Members are individuals of goodwill, philanthropic organizations and specific church officials whose experience, interest and leadership are exemplary and
currently hold or have held a senior leadership position in Africa, Asia and North America. These individuals will be acceptable as life members upon full vote by the Board of Management and payment of charter membership dues.

ARTICLE V: REGIONAL CHAPTERS

A Regional Chapter can be established in any region that has 10 members or more; or five members and five associate members or more.

Section 1:
A Regional Chapter will have a President, Secretary-Treasurer, or a
Secretary and a Treasurer, and Public Relations Officer/Editor.

Section 2:
A Regional Chapter shall hold a regional convention once a year and elect its officers.


ARTICLE VI: BOARD OF MANAGEMENT

The Board of Management shall consist of the President and Executive Committee of the national AFRAA, the president and Secretary of each regional chapter,two charter members and two members at large to be elected by the General Assembly.

Section 1:
The Board shall meet twice a year in December and during the annual congress in June.

Section 2:
The Board shall present its recommendation on the selection of officers for the Association to the General Assembly for ratification by a majority vote

Section 3:
The term of the Board members shall be consistent with the term of his/her office.

Section 4:
The board shall hear the president's report and act with satisfactory evidence and in good faith to the fulfillment and care of the management and operation of
the association.
